Huskies punter Tony Ciaravino was named the Big East's Special Teams Player of the Week. Ciaravino kicked field goals of 24, 47 and 50 yards in UConn's 22-17 win over Temple Saturday.

Joe: I'm originally from Brooklyn, N.Y. (not Connecticut) and am a die -hard baseball fanatic. The big question on your mind is: who do I root for? C'mon, now. There's only one team I can root for. The Yankees. Anyway...I attended high school in Florida, college in North Carolina and worked in all three aforementioned states before landing at the Bulletin. This is my fifth year covering UConn football, UConn women's basketball and the Connecticut Defenders/ Tigers. I'm also in my second year covering the UConn men's basketball team.
