Bowl announcement

The Big East has a bowl announcement this afternoon, likely making official the speculation that the Champs Sports Bowl in Orlando, Fla. will become the destination for the league's No. 2 team.

Joe: I'm originally from Brooklyn, N.Y. (not Connecticut) and am a die -hard baseball fanatic. The big question on your mind is: who do I root for? C'mon, now. There's only one team I can root for. The Yankees. Anyway...I attended high school in Florida, college in North Carolina and worked in all three aforementioned states before landing at the Bulletin. This is my fifth year covering UConn football, UConn women's basketball and the Connecticut Defenders/ Tigers. I'm also in my second year covering the UConn men's basketball team.
